The KAMAX Research and Development centre expresses our willingness to continue to progress. This division of our corporation connects the product development of our customers with KAMAX-knowledge about characteristics, applications, innovative use and method of production.
In order to accomplish this purpose we have future-oriented projects and production technologies as well as new materials and surface coatings.

Product Development
High-strength fasteners have to resist diverse demands with regard to multiple uses, load, environmental impact and other diverse factors. We are optimizing our products by focusing on these criteria.
For each individual application, we design and produce prototypes and test the properties of components and the whole bolted join.
The necessary test and lab furnishing are located in our development centre (for the use for the highly skilled employees who work there).

Process Design
The optimized product attributes have to be maintained as they are reproduced in series production while remaining economically justifiable. Our process design develops and tests new technologies and works for the continuous improvement of the production process. With tools such as CAD, FEA and cold forming simulations, we are working intensively to expand our superiority in this field.

Material Development

A key to the improvement of the product attributes and quality is the development of materials and surface coatings. We create and test products made of new materials such as dual phase steels and light metal alloys. Also, together with external partners, we optimize new surface coatings with regard to corrosion resistance, optical appeal and decrease of environmental pollution. Our completely equipped chemical-metallurgical research laboratory contains all the necessary resources required to guarantee an efficient testing of all the technical properties.
